At first, I was a little skeptical about finding a school for my 2-year-old son so soon, given how young he is and knowing what a handful he can be. However, New Horizons gave me the ultimate peace of mind.

After speaking with the owner and staff, they assured me that my son would be warmly welcomed and given a fair chance to learn alongside his peers. He's only been attending for two months, and he has already shown a genuine interest in going to school every day. The staff is excellent at providing feedback on his day-to-day progress and offering ideas to further support his development at home.

I feel truly blessed to have found this wonderful place of learning. My son is already using his words in so many different ways—from greeting people to recognizing his numbers. His favorite part has to be the toys and the sandbox, based on what he excitedly shares with me. Not to mention, he has already made a friend whom he constantly talks about during playtime at home.

"New Horizons is a true hidden gem! From the moment we stepped inside, we knew it was the perfect fit for our daughter. The warm, hands-on teachers helped her transition smoothly from home to a structured learning environment. As a COVID baby, she initially struggled with socialization, especially with other kids, but with the patience and support of Ms. Maudette and Ms. Sarah, she quickly blossomed—gaining confidence while exploring hands-on activities and learning about colors, textures, seasons, and days of the week.

In preschool, Ms. Maria and Ms. Yoanet introduced her to exciting lessons on the five senses, body parts, and the alphabet. By Pre-K with Ms. Alexis and Ms. Susie, she was thriving in phonics, reading, writing, and math while also learning about the significance of holidays like Thanksgiving and the Fourth of July.

Now, as she prepares for kindergarten, we feel completely confident in her readiness, both academically and socially.

Beyond the classroom, New Horizons offers incredible enrichment activities—from visits with Santa and a Halloween parade to Snow Day, Water Play Day, and even a fire truck visit! They also prioritize well-being with yearly health screenings and a dentist visit.

"There aren't enough words to describe how much I love this school. I am 37 and a proud New Horizons alum. The community of parents and teachers here is truly wonderful. "This is one of the best preschools around. My kids have attended a few preschools between the two of them, and this has been the best by far. My son entered their Pre-K program with limited writing experience, and by the time he left, his penmanship was fantastic—better than many adults! He also attended their Kindergarten program, which is one of the best in the area. With a smaller class size, he received more individual attention, and by the time he left, he was a confident beginning reader with a love for reading (and being read to). "My oldest started here when he was 2.5 years old, and they have such a great program! It's the perfect mix of curriculum, playtime, and socialization.

It's obvious that the teachers care deeply about the students, and they organize many special events throughout the year, such as Snow Day, a visit from Santa, a dinosaur fossil dig, Dress-Up Career Day, and an adorable Halloween parade, just to name a few.
